Dr. Jennifer Bogner is a professor and the Vice-Chair of Research and Academic Affairs in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.  She is also the director of the Division of Rehabilitation Psychology.  Her OSU roles also include being Co-Project Director for the Ohio Regional TBI Model System and the Research Director for the Ohio Valley Center for Brain Injury Prevention and Rehabilitation.   

On a national level, Dr. Bogner is currently serving as Secretary on the Board of Governors of the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine and serves as Associate Editor for the Journal of Head Trauma Rehabilitation.

Her research focuses primarily on improving outcomes following traumatic brain injury (TBI), with special interests in behavioral regulation (including substance misuse), community participation, and the effects of lifetime exposure to TBI.

Dr. John Corrigan

Dr. John Corrigan is a professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at The Ohio State University, as well as director of the Ohio Valley Center for Brain Injury Prevention and Rehabilitation. He is the project director for the Ohio Regional Traumatic Brain Injury Model System, a multi-center, longitudinal research program funded by the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research. Dr. Corrigan chairs the Executive Committee of the TBI Model Systems Project Directors.

He is Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Head Trauma Rehabilitation.

He has served on the Advisory Committee to the National Center on Injury Prevention and Control at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and is a former member of the boards of directors of the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) and the Brain Injury Association of America.

Dr. Corrigan has received local and national awards for his service and research in the field, including the Brain Injury Association of America's William Fields Caveness Award and the 2007 Robert L. Moody Prize.

Most of our experts are affiliated with the Traumatic Brain Injury Model Systems (TBIMS) program. TBI Model Systems are institutions that are national leaders in medical research and patient care. These institutions provide the highest level of comprehensive specialty services from the point of injury through eventual re-entry into full community life.
